Anticipation

Right now the sky is dark
Right now it’s late at night
But I believe I hear the birds
They’re up in the trees
They’re starting to stir and I

I anticipate light
I anticipate light
I anticipate light

Right now the sun is shining
Right now the sky’s aflame
But I believe I see a dark storm cloud
On the horizon and I

I anticipate rain
I anticipate rain
I anticipate rain

And it’s the same thing day after day
A blue sky’s suddenly gray
And just when I think I’ve got it all under control
LIghtning strikes and thunder rolls

Right now it’s really stormin’
Right now I’ve got the blues
But I believe I see an aereoplane
Coming over the horizon and I

I anticipate you
I anticipate you
I anticipate you
