Whether you’re starting from scratch or already have a good head start, Matt can open up the fingerboard to a world of songs.

Specializing in chord-based guitar logic, lessons focus on understanding why the guitar works, not simply memorizing what to play. You won’t be memorizing the solo from “Hotel California” from a page of tablature. You’ll be “picking” apart the logic behind the solo, so you can see how each line grows out of the song’s underlying chord progression.

Whether that sentence makes perfect sense to you or sounds like guitar player gobbledygook, that’s exactly what lessons with Matt are about: developing the vocabulary and outlook needed to learn hundreds of your favorite songs and, better yet,to start writing songs of your own.
